First Class Or Private Jet? 4 Reasons A Jet Makes More Sense

Posted on: 24 June 2017

If you are looking to fly to your destination in style, you may be trying to determine whether you should fly first class on a commercial airplane or charter a private jet. Depending on the exact details of your trip, such as whether you're traveling alone or with a group of friends, it could prove to be cheaper to opt for a private jet. Of course, this may not always be the case and that's why it is important to get quotes. Regardless, here are four reasons why a private jet is better than a first class flight in many cases:

1. A Private Jet Will Save You Time.

As a general rule, as soon as you make a phone call, a private jet can be fueled and ready to go for you in a couple of hours. In addition, there are no crazy airport crowds to weave in and out of nor are there long security lines for you to wait in. Instead, you can literally drive your vehicle right up to the jet. You also won't have to worry about layovers – you can fly straight to your destination.

2. A Private Jet Is More Flexible.

With commercial flights, you have to find a flight that is scheduled and make it work for your schedule. However, as already mentioned, a jet can be ready for you at a moment's notice. Jets are extremely flexible. If you got stuck in traffic on the way to the plane, all you need to do is phone the charter company and inform them you're running late and the jet will be held for you. If something changes while you're up in the air and you need to change your destination, flight plans can be altered with no problem.

3. A Private Jet Offers a Personalized Service.

When you charter a private jet, you will receive individualized attention from the on-flight staff. You aren't a seat number; instead, you are treated like a customer that matters. Now, while first class food is better than food that you would get in economy, it is nothing like the dishes you can be served on a private jet. In many cases, you are asked upfront the types of foods and beverages that you prefer so that they can ensure that they have it on-hand for you for your flight.

4. A Private Jet Can Often Get You Closer to the City.

You would assume that commercial airports would be closest to big cities for convenience. However, this actually is not true, at least not for all of them. For instance, JFK airport is located about 19 miles from the middle of Manhattan. However, Teterboro, which is NYC's private jet airport, is only roughly 14 miles.
